Micro-pulse ultrasound uses ultrasonic waves to penetrate the skin at precise depths, targeting specific layers such as the dermis and superficial muscular aponeurotic system (SMAS). The procedure stimulates collagen production and promotes tissue tightening and rejuvenation. During the treatment, the ultrasound energy is delivered in short pulses or bursts, hence the term “micro-pulse.” These pulses create thermal coagulation points in the targeted areas without damaging the surrounding tissues. The controlled heat generated at these points triggers the body’s natural healing response, leading to the production of new collagen fibers and tightening of existing collagen.
