Three different laser wavelengths—808, 755, and 1064 nm—are used in this diode laser hair removal device. These frequencies are carefully selected to maximise therapy effectiveness. Through a process called selective photothermolysis, in which the energy is selectively absorbed by the melanin in the hair shaft, the lasers produce coherent and focused beams of light. The laser energy is absorbed and then changes into thermal energy, which causes the hair follicle to produce regulated, focused heat. This deliberate increase in temperature interferes with the follicle’s capacity to operate and support hair development. This process gradually reduces the hair’s ability to grow back over time, which eventually results in permanent hair loss.
